The terms, in the same plain language as everything else here
Last updated: August 2026
1. What we do
Brillux Labs ("we," "us," "Brillux") audits and configures email authentication — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC — for a domain you own or are authorized to manage, either directly with you or white-labeled through a web design/development agency ("Partner") on behalf of their client.
2. Free check vs. paid engagement
The free check on /audit is a preliminary, automated lookup of publicly available DNS records. It's informational and doesn't constitute a completed audit. A paid engagement — the actual fix, and the staged rollout described on /how-it-works — begins only once we've agreed on scope and price.
3. DNS access and authorization
By granting us access to your DNS provider, or by instructing us to make changes on your behalf, you confirm you're authorized to make changes to that domain's DNS records. We only read or modify records necessary for the agreed scope of work. See our privacy policy for the specifics of how access is used and retained.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your domain, mail providers, and any services that send email on your behalf.
- Respond within a reasonable time during the monitoring windows of a staged rollout — moving to stricter enforcement without your senders confirmed clean is a real risk to your mail, not just a formality.
- Tell us about any sender you add after the initial audit, so it can be included in the SPF and DMARC configuration.
5. What we don't guarantee
We configure and correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to specification. We do not control, and can't guarantee, how any individual inbox provider ultimately filters mail — deliverability also depends on sender reputation, content, recipient engagement, and factors outside DNS authentication entirely. Correct authentication removes one real, common cause of silent mail failure; it isn't a guarantee of 100% inbox placement.
6. Fees and payment
Fees are agreed per engagement before work begins, whether direct or through a Partner. Specific payment terms (timing, method) are set out in that agreement rather than here.
7. White-label partner terms
Where work is done under a Partner's brand, our contractual relationship is with the Partner. The Partner is responsible for their pricing, their client relationship, and their own terms with their client. We're responsible to the Partner for the technical work described in the engagement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Brillux Labs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from this work, including lost email or lost business arising from causes outside the specific DNS configuration we were engaged to correct. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update. Continued use of an active engagement after a change constitutes acceptance of the update.
